All I have for now. I'm happy, assuming its not a ridiculous contract. Hoping its like $5-6M a year for 4 years.

Spencer Hawes got $7.5m a year, Dragic is getting close to $9m a year, there's no way Meer get's less than $8m a year with this new deal.

I might be alone on this but too me Jameer is a starting pg. After the trade deadline last season he was playing like an allstar. With a new coach a new system that fits his game who knows what might happen. I'm just glad we bringing him back. Thats true loyalty. The man willing to take a pay cut to stay with the team and still might get traded. I knew I liked Jameer for something.

Jameer played well towards the end. I don't mind him as a starter for now but we need to get another PG. Please no Jameer/Duhon or Jameer/Ish.

We need a good SG next to Jameer.

Who's to say the new coaching staff will allow that freedom?

Also, this is pretty much a direct slap in the face to Dwight, considering he wanted a new PG for years. Lmao.

"Nelson confirmed he's reached a deal in principle. New deals can't be signed until July 11. He would not disclose # of years"

Better than starting Duhon. If they can center in on a better PG that would send Jameer to the 6th man role, this move could pay dividends.
